The quality of musicians in this band is what makes it so great. Here’s an opportunity to get to know the members of The Band of Gold, a little better:
Jim Shafer – After starting The Band Of Gold in 1996 while on the air at MAGIC 96.1. Jim continues today leading the band, and playing bass guitar. From the great Oldies, to Motown, Soul, Classic Rock, R&B…..Jim loves it all!
Rocco Cefalo – A long time member of the group, and the music director, Rocco handles keyboard duties, and lots of singing as well! From the South Jersey/Philly area, Rocco loves the classic soul and R&B sounds, and performing live on stage.
Doug Davis – After touring the world with a large show band, Doug has performed with many bands, and joined The Band of Gold as lead singer in 2012. Doug is comfortable with any style of song, and brings his best to every show!
Joe Allen – This very talented guitarist and singer has a great bluesy voice, and is known as one of the greatest players in the Carolinas. Fluent in many styles, Joe is an amazing jazz guitarist as well as covering all the bases
for The Band Of Gold!
Lynn Samples – This man brings decades of experience on drums and vocals, having been a longtime member of Sugarcreek, one of the legendary rock groups of the 80’s and 90’s. Also spending time in the group Too Much Sylvia, Lynn plays it all, from shag to hard rock, and sings it all, too!
